20,000 Giveaway

After starting this blog it took us 13 months to reach 10,000 hits. An amazing feat to be sure! Even more amazing, though, is that less than 3 months later the hits have almost doubled to 20,000!!! We're all astounded and so happy you're enjoying this adventure right along with us. In honor of this milestone, and to say thank you, we're having another giveaway!!

I'm sure you all saw the post where the kids and I went to Epcot to meet Ridley Pearson and have him sign our copies of his newest book in the Kingdom Keepers series, "The Return, Disney At Last". Well, we picked up a copy and had it signed for one of our readers too!!

If you'd like a chance to win the autographed copy you see above, all you have to do is this:

- In the comments section below tell us one thing you'd like to know more about while we're in New England.  That's it! One post per person please. Next Wednesday I'll enter all the names in the Random Name Picker and announce the winner!

I would say next Friday, but we'll be heading north at that time, so you'll have your weekly update a little early. :-) Where north? I guess you'll just have to tune in to see! I'll give you a few hints, though. It involves a national park, a treasure, and an orphan with red hair.

See you on Wednesday!

- Jen

    1. Haha! Thank you, Nuar!! You are so sweet! I'm pretty excited about it... time will tell how the kids remember it. ;-) As with everything in life, there have been ups and downs but hopefully the ups outweigh the downs.

  2. Where is the best lobster roll? How much lobster have you eaten? Have you been driving, noticed a lobster festival and stopped to eat? Have you visited the LL Bean store in Freeport? Have you gone to Palace Playland in Old Orchard Beach? (Sorry, I broke the rules and asked more than one question! You know I'm a rebel.)

I'm glad to see all the pictures as you journey through this family adventure, also it's great to hear about the sites and historical locations you can visit. I was wondering what was your favorite place to visit during your stay in New England? Anyways safe travels and pass along a "Hello to the family!!"

    1. Hello friendly neighborhood Helen! Thanks for following along! We're excited to see you again in September!

As for the answer to your question here's what the kids say:
      Oldest- The Portland Airport
      Youngest- The Easternmost Point
The girl- Visiting Prince Edward Island
As for me I agree with the girl. :-)

    1. We drove by it just the other day! Probably won't get to see a game though, sadly. Our time here is short.

  5. Will you pick wild Maine blueberries? Will you have a crab boil on the beach? How many antique shops have you been in? Where is the best lobster roll - I hope your eyes doing serious research on this! I love Maine, it's so much like Seattle only they talk funny - will you be talking like A Maine native when you return?! xo, Nan

    1. 1. We won't be here for blueberry season, but I've been drinking lots of blueberry lemonade, eating blueberry pie, and tasting blueberry lemon cake. Thank goodness for freezers! The blueberries here are smaller and more flavorful.
      2. Probably not. Still too cold.
      3. More than I care to reveal in case my husband reads this.. ;-)
      4. So far, Roberts Maine Grill.
      5. We are! And Ayuh! Four more months!
